1. Introduction

COMOT NG ("COMOT", "we", "us" or "our") operates the COMOT Nigeria mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use our services.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address and profile data from Google when you sign in.
• Location data: your chosen city and, if you allow it, your current device location to estimate travel time and pick nearby venues.
• Usage data: how you interact with the app, including the number of venue "shuffles" you request and subscription status.
• Device data: device type, operating system, and a unique device identifier for analytics and fraud prevention.
• Payment data: handled by Paystack. We do not store your card or bank details.

3. How we use your information

• To pick and show you one venue at a time based on your plan, zone and timing.
• To estimate travel time and live opening status using Google Maps / Places.
• To manage your free shuffle quota and subscription billing.
• To improve the app, fix issues and prevent abuse.
• To send you service-related notices, including billing reminders.

4. Google data

Live venue data (ratings, photos, opening hours, addresses) is fetched from Google Places at the time you view a result and is not stored on our servers. We only keep the Google place identifier (place_id) and the venue coordinates (latitude/longitude) for up to 30 days so we can match the same venue again.

5. Third-party services

• Google: authentication, maps and place details.
• Paystack: payment processing and subscription management.
• Lovable Cloud: hosting, database and authentication infrastructure.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. Google place_id and coordinate data are retained for up to 30 days. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at the address below.

7. Your rights

You can access, update or delete your account data at any time. You may also withdraw location permissions through your device settings, though this may limit some features.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and row-level access controls in our database. No system is completely secure, so please keep your account details safe.
